I reviewed Holy Snail's Snowbang Essence!

Updated: 01/02/22017

I've already reviewed Shark Sauce and Perseids Oil so you knew this was coming right guys? Let's talk about Snowbang another stellar product from Holy Snails! Heads up by the way... El Dorado will be available for sale on Sunday 04/10! more things to review. Are you read?  Let's go!

I'm kind of liking my new format of borrowed content in one color and my own words in another so lets stay with that for now cool? I have been using this stuff a few months and I really like it. I would call it a light moisturizing layer that is awesome for barrier repair. Let's see what Chel from Holy Snails has to say eh? The green was taken from her site.
Snowbang Essence does not contain snow. It has pre-snow though. Its name comes from one of my muses, Snow White & The Asian Pear.
Snowbang Essence is a featherlight essence with ceramides and hydrolyzed oats for a silky smooth finish. It also has a smorgasbord of hanbang/herbal extracts to feed and sooth your face.
I love ceramics and I've been taking oat baths for dry skin since childhood. Already sold. Inspired by another blogger. That's cool. I wanna inspire someone! I think though that my tastes are too varied to actually accomplish that. Oh and I would require a really inappropriate product name that would likely hurt sales...
Ingredients: Distilled Water, (Abronia Villosa Leaf Extract, Agave Americana Stem Extract, Blue Lotus Extract, Calendula Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Chamomile Extract, Evening Primrose Root Extract, Fouqueria Splendens Stem Extract, Ginger Root Extract, Ginkgo Biloba Extract, Ginseng Extract, Goji Berry Extract, Green Tea Extract, Helichrysum Extract, Hibiscus Extract, Horse Chestnut Extract, Iris Florentina Extract, Licorice Root Extract, Mushroom Extract, Pumpkin Seed Extract, Opuntia Coccinellifera Flower Extract, Yucca Brevifolia Root Extract), Hydrolyzed Oats, (Ceramide 3, Ceramide 6, Ceramide EOP, Phytosphingosine, Cholesterol, Sodium Lauroyl Lactylate, Carbomer, Xanthum Gum), Glycerin, (Water, Caprylyl Glycol, Hexylene Glycol, Wasabi Root Extract, Ginger Root Extract, Garlic Bulb Extract), (Propylene Glycol, Diazolidinyl Urea, Methyparaben, Propylparaben), Disodium EDTA
COSDNA Already had this listed. Good job guys! so steer clear if you are sensitive to Hexylene Glycol, Carbomer, Calendula, Camomile or anything else on this list.
Why I'm excited!
3 types of ceremides
licorice root extract
AND I was just raving in a post the other day about a mask containing 14 kinds of mushroom extract. This does too! I LOVE mushrooms. Um... Chel maybe you should check out this mask and call Club Clio. They might be ripping off your Snowbang Formula for their essence. No wonder I liked it...
Suitable for: All skin types.
Well I only have mine own skin type to comment on here. I'm dry and allergic to weird laundry detergents. This is amazing for me. It helps keep my skin in shape for the abuse I put it through (not that I recommend this... please don't abuse your skin the way I do, expect Snowbang to fix it and blame Chel if it doesn't ok?)
Warnings:  Please always patch test new products. This product does not cause purging, so if you experience breakouts or irritation, please discontinue use.
I was going to say this! My patch testing is more intense than most (I use my whole face in most cases but do isolation testing...) but really at the minimum try one product at a time guys.
This product does not contain any photosensitizing ingredients, but the most effective anti-aging step in your routine will always be sunscreen. Please always use (the correct amount of) sunscreen for best results in fading hyperpigmentation.
Notes: This DOES contain parabens. It does NOT have any fragrances, so there will be a slight smell. No returns or exchanges will be offered, so please consider this before purchasing.
I LOVE PARABENS. I don't want my products to spoil easily.  The anti-paraben hype is as negative as the anti-vaccination movement as far as I'm concerned. Life causes cancer. Parabens are fine. If you are against them feel free to avoid them. Feel free to tell me I'm wrong in the comments. I love countering with peer reviewed studies. But really Chell I apppreciate the heads up since so many people ARE concerned about the inclusion.
Some people choose to keep their Snowbang Essence in their refrigerators to prolong use and reduce oxidation. Some also choose to keep it in a medicine cabinet where it stays in the dark. Neither of these are required, but recommended.
I have noticed no oxidation. I like the fridge method for hot days though...
50 mls
That's a good value as far as I'm concerneserod but man I'm still angling for JUMBO offerings. I could use it up fast enough... Actually I need to restock.
How Do I use it?
I use a few drops twice daily on my face and neck. Before cream, sometimes before a sheet mask, sometimes after. Try it under a modeling mask if you are into that kind of thing. It's awesome. I tried to include a photo of the appropriate amount to use but it doesn't show up well on my hand. This is a very thin liquid. It absorbs quickly and my hands are dry from working with them (card board boxes plus frequent hand washing... week.) My hands try to eat it all if I leave it on long enough for a photo. Please accept a photo of my bottle instead!
Holy Snails SnowbangWhat do I think?
I love it. 5/5. Please make a product I don't like so I can not look so biased. I'm killing my rep here Chel. I tear products to SHREDS. Seriously though I've upped my Tret and had ZERO flaking. I've had other good products and some AMAZING sheet masks to help me along but I don't think I could maintain without this product. Also unlike the Dr. Jart+ products that are also amazing THIS doesn't smell terrible.
1- I want both my money and the time I spent using this product back. It should never be used and if I encounter another in my collection it goes to the trash bin.
2- The product is nothing special but not horrible. I would use it again or give it away if I got it as a free sample.
3-The product is nice enough but I would not repurchase because I have many better options. May be better suited for others
4-I really like this and would likely repurchase if I do not find something better.
5-I love this product and it has become a staple in my collection.
So now you know what the numbers mean!

My Scheming Mandalic Acid Brightening Mask

Pictures coming move in progress...
Rants and Rambles
My Scheming is a Taiwanese company that makes affordable sheet masks that are easy to use and over the past few weeks they have given me a reason to call whatever I am doing relaxing. Using a beauty treatment means I am relaxing right?
The Mandalic Acid Brightening Mask explains the purpose in the name. This is my second review of a brightening mask. You can tell I like that type of thing huh? The description in English on the packaging offers translucent skin. I already have visible veins all over but I think it just means bright and clear. Translucent skin to allow my inner glow to shine through is how I am looking at it.

The packaging is pretty cute too...

COSDNA revealed zero red flags for this mask. Now I'm excited. This also contains Tranexemic Acid a common brightening ingrident in sheet masks. I am even more excited!
Check out my poorly lit before photo below

So there I am all freshly showered wearing the nearly floor length sweater I have been calling a bathrobe for the past few months. The buttons really should have been my clue but anyway... You know you want to see the mask on my face right?

Okay so it isn't exactly beautiful either. I have some that fit wonderfully but let's just start with the embarrassing products first eh? Really dive in!
My Take:
I wore the mask for a little over 30 minutes. There was plenty of essence to apply to my neck, chest, and arms. 30ml really is a ton of essence and I'm thinking of popping a dry sheet mask into the package to get two masks out of one package next time. These masks are already affordable but hey I'm frugal.
See any results?

I actually took these photos while texting a friend about my evening plans and he had already seen (and agreed with my review,) of the Tony Moly mask so he was impressed that this mask had visage results. I'm clearly less red. I have an antibiotics enhanced sunburn going here so I can't expect perfection but it really did help me out. I like this mask. A box of 10 is around $15 and sometimes even less if you can find them on sale. I give this mask a 4/5.
Would I repurcase?
I have a lot of masks but if I find my drawer emptying out or find really good sale I would buy this mask. It isn't the prettiest to wear but it also doesn't slide off my face horribly, it doesn't make my face sticky afterwards, and it does provide a temporary brightening effect.

Have you tried this mask? What did you think?

Shara Shara Berry Bomb Review

Rants and Rambles
Shara Shara is a Korean beauty brand that carries makeup and skincare products. The line of All In One Ampules (AIO) is probably the most popular of the brand. Shara Shara currently offers three AIO varieties the Honey Bomb, the Aqua Bomb, and the product I am reviewing today the Berry Bomb.
