Skinfood Beauty in Food Jeju Tangerine and Black Bean Masks

I am not the biggest Skinfood fan but I'm making my way through my mask stash and I decided to group my "Beauty in Food" Masks from Skinfood together. Jeju Tangerine and Black Bean were hanging out in my "to try some day," pile so I've used them up and taken notes.
First up we have the Jeju Tangerine!Skinfood Beauty in Food Jeju Tangerine Sheet Mask This is supposed to refresh my tired full skin... I'm feeling tired and dull at the time of trying this so I like the idea.
Skinfood Beauty in Food Jeju Tangerine Sheet Mask My skin looks bright and clear due to regular product use but I'm always looking to be less dull. Avoid if you are sensitive to butylene glycol. Or perhaps avoid if you hate citrus scents.
COSDNA Analysis
Skinfood Beauty in Food Jeju Tangerine Sheet Mask Covered eyebrows are a go here. Essence is clear and smells like bright citrus. I think this would make a good hot summer day mask. I'm using it on a cold late evening in autumn. Oh well! I wasn't going to let it sit around till next spring. Wouldn't it be cool if I had enough masks to last till spring? This mask would probably be more refreshing to me in the warm summer months.
I didn't feel my skin was any more bright or clear than before use of this mask and I also wasn't impressed by the scent. It did beat the Tony Moly Lemon I'm Real mask out of the park though! Tony Moly Lemon review for those who like my rants.
i just realized this is only my second citrus themed mask on the blog so perhaps citrus just isn't my thing. I love eating all kind of citrus and the kinds of lemon-y scented things so maybe my mood is at play here. I might just like bright refreshing scents when I'm in a better mood. I talked about mental illness before in my mental health awareness post. Let's just say I run hot and cold. I might put citrus on the back burner for a while. For now this mask ranks a 3/5. I just didn't love it.
The next up is black bean!
Skinfood Beauty in Food Black Bean Sheet Mask This has a milky essence. I can't stop with my love of the delicious milky essence type. If I were endlessly rich I would bathe in milky essences (warmed of course as I did with this mask.)
Skinfood Beauty in Food Black Bean Sheet Mask I love bean based desserts... I love black beans. Yeah I've been saving this one even though I'm not a huge Skinfood fan...
COSDNA Analysis check this out in case you have sensitivities. I didn't see any huge red flags that are common screaming at me.               Skinfood Beauty in Food Black Bean Sheet Mask I love milky essence masks (yeah I said it again,) and it smells like a creamy black bean dessert. I've only had red beans in desserts but now I'm going to see out black beans in dessert recipes to see if I can find some because I love the smell. Much more autumn than the tangerine.
This mask is meant to be forming but all I can think about with it on my face is that soft milky essence soaking into my skin. I do like milky essence masks even from Skinfood and now I'll be looking to see if they have a black bean line I can use to maybe make my own masks with mask tablet down the line. Perhaps I could make my own by soaking dry black beans in almond milk and honey...
5/5 for this one. Again  I could just be running hot and cold on the scents because I normally like citrus. But the way my skin felt after this mask 100% matched the promises on the package. I would buy this and I would love to have more on hand.
1- I want both my money and the time I spent using this product back. It should never be used and if I encounter another in my collection it goes to the trash bin.
2- The product is nothing special but not horrible. I would use it again or give it away if I got it as a free sample.
3-The product is nice enough but I would not repurchase because I have many better options. May be better suited for others
4-I really like this and would likely repurchase if I do not find something better.
5-I love this product and it has become a staple in my collection.
So now you know what the numbers mean!
Winding down a bit...
I found one mask superior to the other but this experience really made me want to give Skinfood products another shot!
Have you used products by Skinfood that you really enjoy? Am I missing out somewhere? Do you know where I can find more black bean products? Tell me in the comments!
